Movie about Gucci coming soon

Gladiator director Ridley Scott is set to bring the story of the turbulent Gucci clan to the big screen.

The story will span many years and several locations while tracking the lives of the famous fashion family.

As well as the Guccis’ commercial success, the film will also chart the embattled family’s personal dramas, including when Paolo Gucci almost sent his father, Aldo, to prison for tax fraud.

Maurizio Gucci’s murder in 1995 and the subsequent arrest of his widow, Patrizia, who was convicted three years later of ordering his assassination, will feature too.

Scott will work on the drama after completing American Gangster with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
