Givenchy Menswear

Ozwald Boateng brought a little Savile Row class to the Givenchy catwalk today – with a generous helping of the natty sassiness that we have come to associate with him.

As Louis Armstrong boomed out Wonderful World over the catwalk in the Pompidou Centre, Boateng proved that his menswear for the LVMH-owned label is just as noteworthy as the work of Riccardi Tisci who has been applauded for his womenswear version.

Metallic silver fabric, for trousers, macs and jackets, and skinny ties were in line with the season’s trends, while elsewhere a monochrome palette, interrupted politely by shades of maroon and mint, was the epitome of modern suave: just like the man himself who took his bow all in white.
